Uncle Tamer,

Some of my earliest and fondest memories include you. Your love, generosity, and compassion was evident to me even at the young age of 3 and your great attributes never ceased to amaze me as a I grew older. Your compassion and wisdom was even a greater influence on my life than you know.

I love you and I am so lucky to have even known you and I am proud to call you my uncle. My only regret is that my two young children will not get to witness your greatness first hand. But I will be sure to share the memories with them.

I knew Tamer as a student, colleage, and friend. We did not talk much but when we did it was both important and meaningful. He embodied what I thought to be the best in a Osteopathic Physician and I held him in the highest esteem. I was comforted that we walked the same earth and breathed the same air. As everyone who knew Tamer can rightfully say, he was a man of loving and gentle character. My family and I were lucky to have known Tamer and Farideh since the early Gainesville UF days - when they first got married. I was new in high school then, and my mother (Dr. Nimet Turel) led the introductions. Over the 35 years since we first met, we had wonderful times, when time permitted us to be together - as I moved a lot with work.
Tamer abi, and his wonderful family are on my mind and in my prayers.

I have had the privilege to know Tamer for almost 2 years now. Every contact with him taught me something more about strength and character in a man. I learned to laugh in the face of adversity, and to be ever so strongly philosophical in the throws of unpleasant news.
Tamer always had a positive word of self encouragement for himself, and family, and even for ME, his newest friend who had to bear witness to his constitutional ups and downs. This was a strong and stoic man.
