Deadwood - Tammy Lee Brewer,42, Black Hawk, SD, passed away in the early morning of January 28 of 2024 in the arms of her fiancé, Mitchael D. Shanks.

Tammy was born in Mobridge, SD, on April 10, 1981, to John "Sam" and Melody Brewer. Tammy was a very artistic child always creating something. Her skills included but not limited to drawing, painting, and sculpting. One of the sculptures she created in her teen years even made it into a popular art magazine out of California. Tammy was active in the cheerleading program in her young teen years.

The Brewer family lived in Mobridge until Tammy was in the 2nd grade. They moved to Watertown, SD, for approximately 6 months before establishing residency in Aberdeen, SD. Tammy graduated from Job Corp in Nemo, SD, around the year 1999. Tammy gave birth to her oldest child Jonathan "Jon" S. Brewer on June 13, 2004. In 2006 the Brewer family moved to the Black Hills. Tammy and Jon moved to Idaho from 2013-2015 when they returned to the Black Hills. On December 16, 2015 Tammy welcomed her youngest child, Parker A. Brewer.

Tammy found the love of her life, Mitchael Shanks, in November of 2023, the couple were set to be married in September of 2024. Tammy enjoyed spending her time working on her house, crocheting blankets for the family, and getting tattoos.

Tammy is survived by her children, Jonathan (Annabella) Brewer and Parker Brewer; parents, John and Melody Brewer; sisters, Samantha (Ryan) Green and Wendy (Anthony) Carr; and nieces and nephews, Stefanie (Andrew, River) Davis, Ariana Judd, Chase Green, and Mazie Hoffman.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 10, 1:00 p.m. at Woodland Receptions, Piedmont, SD.
