Tara M. Pifcho Evans passed away Sunday, Sept. 13. She was the daughter of Robert and Sally Pifcho, of Scranton; and the mother of Jamie Spindler, Aidan Spindler and Ava M. Evans, who were the absolute loves of her life.
Born in Scranton, Tara was a graduate of Scranton High School and Fortis Institute where she received her legal secretary certification. She was of the Catholic faith and worked at Abington Manor as a CNA. Tara was a beautiful soul who enjoyed going to the beach, loved her job and genuinely cared for people. She cherished cooking meals with her boys, Jamie and Aidan. Tara had a heart for music and enjoyed exploring the different genres of music with Aidan. She will be missed by all of her family, friends and loved ones.
Tara is also survived by one brother, Robert Pifcho; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph M. Pifcho; maternal grandparents, Ernest and Marie Fisher; paternal grandparents, George and Anna Pifcho; several aunts and uncles.
Viewing for family and friends will be Friday in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Ave., West Scranton, from 4 to 6:45 p.m. with services at 6:45 by the Rev. Richard Fox. Interment will be private.
Those attending service are asked to wear a mask, practice social distancing and limit physical contact.

I was a friend of Taras yrs back when she worked at Sears optical, she was a Genuinely sweet person! Just a cute personality and I wanted to give my condolences to her family and to let them know how sweet others thought she was and people you don't even know are thinking and praying for Peace

There are no words. Nothing right. I will leave a memory. When Tara was about to make her way into this world I was learning how to knit. The very first thing I made was a sweater set for her. RIP Tara. Joey has you and that should bring comfort.
