My sincere sympathy to the Taylor Long family. I feel certain he and my dad worked together on the Terre Haute Police Department back in the 1940's. My dad was Safety Lt. Paul Bartlett, 1937 graduate of Gerstmeyer High School, who served on the force during Vern McMillan's term as Mayor of Terre Haute.

I have special memories of those days and several old photos I'd be happy to share with Mr. Long's family if they'd contact me.

Stay strong and remember the good times!

Our family knew Taylor for a long time. My dad bought his first car from him. after that all of us(kids) began buying cars off of him. he treated us like we were his own. he was a good business man and just a good man in general. he was a long time friend and we will miss him.
