Ted Harrison Obituary
1985-2015
Ted William Harrison was born in Houston, Texas, on March 1, 1985, and entered into eternal life on December 12th, 2015. Our beloved son, Ted was devastatingly taken away from us. Our hearts are broken and life will never be the same. Ted attended St. Mark's Episcopal School through 8th grade. He graduated from Bellaire High School in 2003. Ted played lacrosse and participated in FFA throughout his years at Bellaire High School. He graduated from Texas A&M Maritime Academy in May 2014 double majoring in Maritime Administration and Maritime Transportation. He held a Third Mate license. Prior to his passing, Ted worked for G&H Towing Company as a mate. Ted lived his life to the fullest and spent much of his spare time surfing, hunting and fishing. Ted was the light of our lives and the joy of our hearts. He never met a stranger and made a positive impact on every person he met. When Ted had a friend in need he was there for them. Teddy, we are so proud of you!
Ted is survived by his parents, Kathryn and Arthur Harrison, his brother Thomas Harrison and sister Nia Harrison, paternal grandmother Diamond Harrison and uncles Dr. Jack Alford and Tommy Priakos of Pine Bluff Arkansas. Included in Ted's family are cousins Zoe Ann and Bradley Beinart and Jon and Veronica Alford. Ted also leaves behind extended family and many friends. He will be greatly missed by
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from ten until half past eleven o'clock in the morning followed by a funeral service at half past eleven o'clock on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 3511 Yoakum Boulevard. The graveside services will follow immediately at Woodlawn Cemetery. Those honored to serve as casket bearers during Wednesday's service are: Dirk Archer, Sandy Walker, Matt Walker, Chris Furley, Will Aitken, Bradley Winslett, Ron Wright, Michael Bogg, Chase Boeker, Daniel Gerber, and Stephen Catechis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to AHEPA Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 10393, Houston, Texas 77206 where a scholarship will be established in Ted's memory.

My dear sweet Katie and Art,
I feel such pain for hearing this news. I see his handsome face with that wonderful smile and know that he is in the hands of our sweet Jesus. What comfort to know he lived doing the things that are pleasing to the Lord and now he serves our God. May you all find comfort these holy days that are upon us knowing that he has found what life is truly all about. Please, know I will be praying for you this prayer. I did not know Ted, but reading his story brought tears to my eyes. I also lost a son who was a graduate of Texas A&M, so as a mother I grieve with a fellow Aggie family. There is never a right time to lose a child. I will pray for you and remember Ted at Muster.

Dear Katie and Art and Family,
I am so thankful to have shared and witnessed the liturgy of Ted's funeral and makaria. What an amazing impact he offered to so many people wherever he was. The testimonies given by his friends and loved ones were heartfelt, the church was standing room only, and Ted's memory will truly be eternal until all of us are reunited with him in the Second Coming. Someday you will be faced with the reality of loss. And as life goes on, days rolling into nights, it will become clear that you never really stop missing someone special who's gone, you just learn to live around the gaping hole of their absence.When you lose someone you can't imagine living without, your heart breaks wide open, and the bad news is you never completely get over the loss. You will never forget them. However, in a backwards way, this is also the good news. They will live on in the warmth of your broken heart that doesn't fully heal back up, and you will continue to grow and experience life, even with your wound. It's like badly breaking an ankle that never heals perfectly, and that still hurts when you dance, but you dance anyway with a slight limp, and this limp just adds to the depth of your performance and the authenticity of your character. The people you lose remain a part of you. Remember them and always cherish the Good moments spent with them.
