Teresa McFarland Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Dec. 1 to Dec. 3, 2022.
Teresa "Terri" Marlene McFarland, 69, went to her heavenly home on Friday, November 25, 2022. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a Christian.

Born August 26, 1953 to the late William "Bud" and Marilyn "June" Holt, in Maysville, Kentucky. Teresa attended Tollesboro High School and was involved in 4-H , where she won several 1st. place ribbons in sewing and cooking. She was a skilled seamstress, making most of her children's clothes when they were growing up. She loved to bake, always making pies, cakes, cookies, etc. to give to her family and friends.

Teresa's first love was the Lord which lead her to her second love, Michael D. McFarland. Teresa and Michael wed on June 7th., 1988 and were able to enjoy 34 years together attending church, traveling and raising their combined families. Michael takes comfort knowing that before she passed, she had her infectious smile on her face.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband Michael D. McFarland and her children: Barbara (Ted) Charter of Haskins, OH, Ronald "Jason" Grate of Knoxville, TN, and Tiffany (Chad) Williamson of Marion, OH; four grandchildren: Autumn (Aaron Aldridge) Roberts, Samantha (Cory Wicker) Roberts, Dylan Grate and Joseph Williamson; five great-grandchilden: Alexus Cox, Kyra Wicker, Mekenzie, Grayson and Emmeline Grate: four sisters; Vickie White of Maysville, KY, Patsy Gilliam of Tollesboro, KY, Annette Overbey-Smith Lexington, KY and Velda Overbey of Georgia: two brothers: Charles "Chuck" Holt of Tollesboro KY, Rick Holt of Vanceburg, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and June, three sisters, Rita, Debbie and Lisa Holt, and by her brother, Ronald "Butch" Holt.

To honor Teresa's wishes, there will be no funeral services. We invite you to please privately celebrate her memory in your own ways. We know that she will be with us all in spirit. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time. www.springgrove.org
