Terry Blanc Obituary
Born in Jan. 5, 1946, Terry entered into rest on Monday, Sept. 1, 2008.
Terry was born in Sacramento to his loving parents, Irvin and Mary Blanc. After graduating from Armijo High School, he went to work for the Local Painters and Tapers Union. A few years later, in 1967, he joined the Suisun Fire Protection District as a volunteer firefighter.
In 1974, he met the love of his life, Debbie Abruzzini. They married in 1977. In 1991, he was hired full-time by the Suisun Fire Protection District as an engineer. He worked his way up quickly through the ranks and retired from the Fire District as Fire Chief in 2005.
In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors and family. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a past 4-H leader for the Suisun Valley 4-H. He was active in the community and always wanted to help others. He enjoyed spending time on the ranch and cutting wood, and also playing in keno tournaments in Reno.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Debbie Blanc; daughter and son-in-law, Amber and James Sales of Gordon Valley; daughter and son-in-law, Lacy and Joe DeQuattro of Vacaville; brother, Dennis Blanc; and numerous loving family members.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 W. Texas St., Fairfield. A service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1600 Union Ave., Fairfield. Burial will follow at Rockville Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been set up at Golden 1 Credit Union in memory of Terry Blanc, account # 947538. Donations may be made at any Golden 1 Credit Union.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 425-4697.

Dear Amber and Lacy
So very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was always sooo very funny and very proud of the both of you. Debbie, I have a great memory of Terry..at a class reunion, I asked him to dance.....he refused..saying he hadn't danced with his wife yet and she always gets the first dance!!

Chief Terry ranked in my top 3 Chief's in my 35 years in the fire service. His knowledge in wildland firefighting kept me safe out there. Thank you. Dear Blanc family,
Many fond memories of Terry when I was a kid. My Uncle Bobby was his friend & I still have the flower girl dress I wore in the mid sixties for Terry's wedding. What a legacy he leaves behind, be proud. A hug to you all,
