Terry Lee Harris CLEVELAND, Va. Terry Lee Harris, age 53, of the Sandy Ridge section passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, in a Lebanon, Va., hospital. Born August 22, 1956, in Russell County, Va., she was a daughter of Zora Mae Miller Compton of Honaker, Va., and the late Mavin Howard Compton. A lifelong resident of the area, she was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Harris; one brother, Mavin McKinley Compton; and one step-grandson, Dominick Deskins. In addition to her mother, survivors include her daughter, Jessica McCloud and fianc‚, David Childress; two grandchildren, Nicholas McCloud and Skyler Childress; special companion, A.F. Crabtree of Cleveland; one step-daughter, Crystal Deskins of Cleveland; two step-grandchildren, Mallory Deskins and Star Crabtree; five sisters, Katherine Marie Helton of Honaker, Lois Ann Hughes of Abingdon, Nadine Hess and husband, Harless of Honaker, Sylvia Lester and husband, Clinton of Big Rock, Va., and Shirley Compton of Honaker; two brothers, James "J-Bo" Compton and wife, Mary of Honaker and Larry Compton and wife, Rhonda of Newton; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Va., with Rev. Harless Hess, Rev. Stevie Hess, and Rev. Cecil Musick officiating. Interment will follow in the Frank Smith Cemetery on Big A Mountain, Va. Pallbearers will be Allen Stapleton, Jody Deskins, Cecil Musick, Carson Crabtree, McKinley Compton, and Larry Paul Compton. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Hubbard and Matthew Compton.
