LaGrange - Mr. Terry Lee Howerton, age 80, of La Grange, Kentucky entered this life on May 25, 1944 in Sulphur, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late David Elliott and Myrtle Marie Chumbley Howerton. He was a 1962 graduate of Leavenworth High School. He married Nancy Marie Stewart on July 13, 1963 at the Summit Street Church of the Nazarene in Findlay, Ohio. He spent many years living in Trimble and Jefferson County before moving to La Grange, Kentucky in 1998. He was a carpenter by trade, and he worked for Louisville Gas & Electric as a project coordinator for 33 years before retiring in 1998. He was a member of Old Union Christian Church in Sulphur, Indiana. He enjoyed woodworking and golfing. Terry died on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 8:55 a.m, at his home in LaGrange, Kentucky.

A LOVING FAMILY

Terry will be missed by his loving wife of 61 years, Nancy Marie Howerton of La Grange, Kentucky; his sons, Tracy Howerton and his wife, Julie of Bedford, Kentucky, Terry Howerton II of Campbellsburg, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Chandler, Sydney, Audrey, and Adeline; his sisters, Helen Lynch of Branchville, Indiana, Sherry Marsh of New Albany, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, David Elliott Howerton, died on May 16, 2002, his mother, Myrtle Marie Chumbley Howerton, died in 1958, his sisters, Mildred Sillings, died January 2, 1997, Rose Mary Bowman, died, June 9, 2023, Deloris Howerton, died March 6, 1942, his brothers, Melborn Gene Howerton, died December 25, 1998, David Glen Howerton, died March 30, 2006, and James E. Howerton, died November 5, 2022.

GRAVESIDE CEREMONY

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Jack Couch at the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, Kentucky. Interment will follow in the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, Kentucky.

MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Cards are available at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centres of Madison and Hanover. Online condolences, remembrances, and memorials can be left at www.morgan-nay.com
