Theodora Bergeron

WANTAGE - Theodora Bergeron, 94, formerly of Groveton, N.H., passed away peacefully at the home of her son, Chuck, in Wantage on Dec. 29, 2013.

Born Oct. 6, 1919, in Groveton, N.H., as Theodora Pearl Clark, she attended Groveton High School and cosmetology school in Boston. During her many years Theodora worked in the office at the Groveton Paper Company and was then self-employed as a cosmetologist.

She married Roger Bergeron in August 1943. Roger worked as an accountant/comptroller at the Groveton Paper Company. She was a lifelong resident of Groveton until she moved to New Jersey a few years ago to reside with her son, Chuck. She was a lifelong member of the Groveton Methodist Church where she helped put on bean suppers and luncheons.

In her spare time, Theodora enjoyed dancing with her husband and spending time at their cabin on Maidstone Lake, Vt., where they would entertain friends and family. She also enjoyed spending time on the lake swimming and canoeing. She enjoyed outings with her knitting club friends and she volunteered at the Weeks Memorial Hospital Sunshine Shop.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roger Bergeron, and a sister, Gaynelle Stone. She is survived by her son, "Chuck"� Bergeron and his wife, Carol, of Wantage; brothers, Stan Clark, of Manchester, N.H., and Ron Clark, of Durham, N.H.; along with grandchildren, Chelsea Vander Groef and her husband, Justin, of Wantage, and Amanda Justino and her husband, Chris, of Hamburg. She was looking forward with great expectation to the birth of her great-grandchild (Chelsea) in January 2014.

A memorial service is planned to honor her memory in the Spring of 2014 in Groveton, N.H.
