Theodore Jacobs, Jr. Obituary
Ted graduated from Glenn H. Curtiss Memorial High School in Hammondsport, NY, in 1952, a place he remained deeply connected to throughout his life, cherishing his class reunions. He proudly served in the Air Force for 30 years, achieving the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. His military career was distinguished by his role as a crew member, flying 156 combat missions in numerous aircraft during the Korean conflict and Vietnam War, completing multiple tours in each.
Beyond his military service, Ted was known for his independent spirit and eclectic hobbies. He was a master photographer and an avid craftsman, often building and gifting birdhouses and crosses. His love for collecting stamps and coins brought him joy and connected him to a broader world. Even into his 90s, Ted was unstoppable, known for his spontaneous road trips and his memorable biking adventure along the Appalachian Trail in the 70s.
Ted is survived by his children, Greg Jacobs, Mike Jacobs, Lynda Caslin, and Jeff Jacobs; grandchildren, Bryan Jacobs, Lindsy Jacobs, Nikki Jacobs; and great-grandchildren, Bryce Jacobs, Brynnley Jacobs, and Rylend Jacobs, Darren Jacobs. He is also survived by his cousins, Mike Race, Janet Ferree. and Sandy Smith. Ted was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Millie Jacobs, and his son, Jay Jacobs.
In remembrance of Ted's life and legacy, contributions can be made to the VFW in Hammondsport, NY. His passion for life, commitment to service, and love for his family and friends will be deeply missed.

Dad taught me how to look for moss on trees to find north and how to look up at the sky at night to see my surroundings. Still remember to this day.

Remember him packing his roller skates in a bright yellow suitcase to go to Lakeside roller rink, years later I became the proud owner of the suitcase. He looks so much like his Dad. Thanks for sharing this. I am the niece of his Uncle Roy Jacobs.
