Theresa Jane "Terry" Buran

Theresa Jane Buran, known affectionately as Terry, passed away on August 7, 2024, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at the age of 73. Born with the maiden name Michel, Terry was a beacon of love and generosity, cherished by all who knew her.

Terry graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School in 1969 and later attended Broward College. She embarked on a meaningful career that began in retail security, transitioned into education as a special education support teacher, and extended her nurturing spirit to her role as a host mother to international exchange students.

A devoted member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Terry's faith was an important aspect of her life. Her final services will be held at St. Maurice at Resurrection Catholic Church on August 31, 2024, at 11:00 am.

Terry is survived by her loving husband, Michael Buran; daughters, Laura Merrell (Buran) and Brittany Kluge (Buran); and brother, Monti Michel. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Raimondi; brothers, Jerry and Charles Michel; father, Charles Michel; and son, Greg Maze.

Her life was a testament to her strength, generosity, and unwavering commitment to her family and community. Terry's legacy of love and compassion will be forever cherished by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
