Theresa A. Haddad 1924 - 2016
UTICA - Theresa A. (Trivieri) Haddad, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 11, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Theresa was born on April 16, 1924, in Utica, the daughter of Anthony and Jennie Rose Trivieri. She was a graduate of Proctor High School. Theresa married Sally M. Haddad in 1953 at St. George Orthodox Church. The only love of her life passed away in 1968. She was employed as bookkeeper for the Utica Community Chest and the Reid Sheldon & Company, prior to retiring to care for her parents.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, William and Jennifer Haddad, Canastota; grandchildren, William, Jr. (Patti), Liverpool, Cameron, Utica, and David, Samantha and Andrew Haddad, all of Canastota; and great-grandchildren, Maddox, Lucas and Liam. She is also survived by brothers and sisters, Angeline Fusco, Utica, Joanne (Rocco) Giglio, Elkhart, IN, Nicholas (Marilyn) Trivieri, Utica, and Gerald Trivieri, Scotia, NY; brothers-in-law, Dr. Louis M. Haddad, DDS, New Hartford, Rosario Frank Guardi, Richmond, VA, and Frank D. Aiello, Naples, FL; sisters-in-law, Margaret Trivieri, Utica, Joyce Trivieri, Stone Mountain, GA, and Sandy Visalli, New Hartford; and many very special nieces and nephews.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Anthony, Jr., and Lawrence; sisters, Josephine Guardi and Margaret Aiello; brother-in-law, John B. Fusco; sister-in-law, Gloria Haddad; in-laws, Frank and Sadie Eassa; mother and father-in-law, Michael and Sophie Haddad; and many nieces and nephews that left us too early.
Throughout her life, Theresa was known for her loving, caring, humble nature, her deep faith, cheerful disposition, and her inner strength. To know her was to love her, as her family and friends can all attest. She was also a wonderful cook. Her kitchen was a place of comfort and happiness to all her who enjoyed her delicious meals. She always made room at her table. It can truly be said of her that of the riches that matter most in life, the love of family and friends, she was wealthy beyond measure. She lived her life with kindness and grace.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, to be celebrated by Reverend Joseph Salerno, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes. The family will receive guests at the conclusion of Mass. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Theresa's name may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
The family would like to thank the staff of the CTICU at St. Elizabeth for their help in the final hour and the Presbyterian Home for the last six months of services.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nunn & McGrath Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica.

Theresa was hands down the kindest, most loving person I know. So much so that these last few months, whenever I spoke to or visited with her I found myself addressing her as Saint Theresa, instead of Aunt Theresa. This was not something I did consciously, it just started to happen. She, of course, humbly demurred, saying, "I don't know about that." To which I replied, "Well, I do," and she would smile. It was such a great Blessing and privilege to be her nephew, and to witness her deep faith and caring nature. Now she soars free in Eternity.
