THOMAS HAROLD AYERS Memorial services for longtime Dove Creek resident Thomas Harold "Tom" Ayers will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 27 at the Dove Creek Community Center. Tom was born in Fort Scott, Kan. on June 23, 1977. He and his wife, Jennifer (Gallagher) Ayers passed away at their home in Piehl, Wis. on Sunday, March 8, 2015. Tom is survived by his parents, Wesley and Peggy Ayers of Egnar, Colo.; as well as his biological parents, Ada Howard of Nevada, Mo. and Thomas Feagan of Idaho. Tom will be missed by his children, Thomas Whellon Ayers of Egnar, Colo., Kurtis Ayers of McPherson, Kan., Laticia, Veronica and Amanda Ayers of Piehl, Wis. Tom also leaves behind his siblings, David C. (Roberta) Ayers of Wickenburg, Ariz., Barbara (Emmett) Curtis of Egnar, Colo., Danny "Bo" (Cathy) Ayers of Egnar, Colo., Denny (Sharon) Ayers of Fort Morgan, Colo., Don (Cheryl) Ayers of Egnar, Colo., Sandy Rumore of Snowflake, Ariz., Tiffany (Eric) Mather of Nevada, Mo.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tom loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He will be remembered each time we enjoy our country hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and taking in the beauty of the country in which we live. "Colorado men are we, from the peaks gigantic, from the great sierras and the plateaus, from the mine and from the gully, from the hunting trail we come." Walt Whitman Memorial contributions may be made in Thomas Ayers' name to ROCK in Dove Creek or to a youth organization of choice.
