Thomas Brennan Obituary

Thomas Patrick Brennan
1957-2014

Tom Brennan passed away peacefully in the hospital, with his family by his side, on August 31st, 2014. Tom was born in Chicago, IL on March 5th, 1957 to Eileen Bruck Brennan and Thomas Patrick Brennan.

He graduated from Loyola Academy in Wilmette, IL, and the University of Utah, majoring in Economics. He also received an MBA from Westminster College in Salt Lake City.

Tom worked in the banking industry his entire career, beginning with Commercial Security and Key Bank in Salt Lake City. He then established Park City Bank and moved on to US Bank in Park City where he became Regional President.

Tom was also active in his community, serving two terms on the Snyderville Basin Planning Commission, as well as being on the boards of the Park City Historical Society and the Summit Land Conservancy. He was also a member of BOSAC (Basin Open Space Advisory Committee) and a fishing guide for Reel Recovery, a program for cancer patients.

He loved living in Park City, where he could pursue his passions of skiing, biking, fishing and just being outdoors. Tom's favorite companions throughout the years, aside from his family, were his dogs. Zeke was a special favorite, accompanying Tom to the bank on most days and becoming his favorite fishing buddy.

Tom was a devout family man, a proud husband and father, who loved nothing more than cheering on his children in their various endeavors. He is survived by his wife, Wiggy, daughter Rosie and son Charlie, as well as two sisters, Susan and Patti.

A memorial service celebrating Tom's life will be held on September 6th at Snow Park Lodge at Deer Valley Resort. The service will start at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent in Tom's name to the Summit Land Conservancy (P.O. Box 1775, Park City UT 84060) or the Mountain Trails Foundation (P.O. Box 754, Park City UT 84060)

Cheers to a man who lived life to the fullest, enriched the lives of those who were lucky enough to have known him, who's good humor and enthusiasm was infectious and loved to praise his wonderful family. Tommy and I were neighbors and played as kids in Wayne. We went to Wayne school on the same bus. We lost touch, but ran into each other at the U. We skied skinny skis together. I'm just saddened at his passing. He lived a good life. Condolences to the family. Your friend, Mark Vancil
