Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sauk Rapids for Thomas M. Bukowski, age 63, who passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday. Rev. Ronald Weyrens will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery with full military honors provided by Royalton American Legion Post 137. Friends and family may call from 4-9 p.m. Sunday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Monday also at the church. Royalton American Legion Post 137 will pray at 6:30 p.m., followed by parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.
Tom was born March 1, 1949 in St. Cloud to Earl & Beatrice (Kedrowski) Bukowski. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Tom married Mary Raymond on Nov. 26, 1970 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Tom was lifelong resident of Sauk Rapids. He was involved with Earl's Bakery as a baker. Tom worked as an insurance agent where he owned and operated Royal Insurance Agency in Royalton for 31 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he was an Usher, Eucharistic Minister and Lay Presider. Tom was also a member of Royalton American Legion Post 137, Sauk Rapids Lions Club, Engine Co. #2, retired member of the Sauk Rapids Fire Department, and Benton County Board of Adjustments & Equalization. Tom was a spiritual, happy and positive person who always wanted to help people. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, going to the casino, and spending time with family at the cabin. His grandchildren were a very important part of his life, he enjoyed spending time with them and teaching them about life.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of Sauk Rapids; sons, Chad (Donna) of Sauk Rapids and Brent (Lori) of Sauk Rapids; grandchildren, Carter, Hudson, Jack and Brooklyn; brothers and sister, Earl "Butch" (Carol) Bukowski of Sauk Rapids, Katie (Darrell) Grelson of Sauk Rapids, and Ken (Kathy) Bukowski of Sauk Rapids; and father-in-law, Sylvester Raymond of Sartell. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Bernadine Raymond; niece, Gina Bukowski; and great nephew, Bryce Bukowski.

Dear Mary and Family,
We received the very sad and unexpected news of Tom's untimely passing today. We want you to know how sorry we are for your pain and loss. Tom will be missed by both Bill and myself. Bill made it a point to thank Tom for "saving my life" at all the reunions. He pulled me unconsious from a burning car in an accident in 1966.
We will have to celebrate his life this summer.
