Thomas Childers Obituary
A lifelong resident, he was employed with Carrier Transicold.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 30, 2004 at 11:00 AM from the graveside at Colbert Cemetery. Rev. Gerald Brunson will officiate.
Survivors include his mother, Peggy Eberhart Childers; father, Herman Childers; grandfather, Thomas Eberhart; sister and brother in law, Susan and Mark Beach and nieces and nephew, Ashli, Matt and Caroline Beach, all of Colbert.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and will also be at the residence of Susan and Mark Beach, 226 Peachtree Street, Colbert.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice, 1500 Oglethorpe Avenue, Suite 200C, Athens, Georgia, 30606 or Madison County Sheriff's Office Bullet Proof Vest Fund, P.O. Box 65, Danielsville, Georgia 30683.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville is in charge of arrangements.

Dear Ms. Peggy, Susan, and family:
I was so sorry to hear about Tom's illness and to hear that he has passed away. You all have been in my prayers since I found out several months ago. As you know, Tom and I went to school together from kindergarten through high school. And of course, we knew each other from church. He was always such a friendly person. It's so hard to imagine that something like this can happen to someone our age. Please know that you all continue to be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
