DeLonge Sr, Thomas Lyon 1948 ~ 2014 CARLSBAD-- Thomas Lyon DeLonge Sr. went Home on April 26th with his fiancé, Kathee Finn at his bedside. He bravely battled hard to fight cancer and to return to his normal life. He is survived by his sons, Thomas Mathew DeLonge Jr. and wife Jennifer, and Shon Kitchen and wife Corrina; daughter, Kari DeLonge and partner Dominic Anderson, all from the San Diego area. He is also survived by his brother, Stephen DeLonge and Douglas Foss of Rancho Mirage; sister-in-law, Delia DeLonge; and niece, Madison of Inverness, Florida. He also has four beautiful grandchildren, Ava and Jonas DeLonge and Ellie and Bastian Kitchen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. and Theda DeLonge; and his brother, Michael DeLonge. He will be deeply missed by his family, loved ones and many close friends. Tom worked at SKS Inc. of Escondido for 34 years where he was VP of sales and marketing and a key account executive. The owner of SKS Inc. wrote this: "Tom was extremely successful in sales and worked his way through the company being promoted several times over the years and ran many different divisions. He was a mentor to many and a friend to all. Everyone will miss his infectious laugh and positive energy that he projected to everyone in his business and personal life." In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The American Cancer Society, in his memory. Services are pending.

Tom and his brother were very special friends. We grew up together as children doing all the kid things together (Boy Scouts, Little League, Pony League, etc.,etc. I will always remember his infectious smile and easy going manner.
