Thomas Hargis Obituary
Louisville - Thomas Steven "Steve" Hargis, 69, of Louisville, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018.
He was born June 25, 1948 in Morehead, KY, the son of John Robert and Iris Kathleen (Turner) Hargis. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Suzanne Richardson and Kathy Armstrong.
Steve was a family man, and absolutely loved spending time with his granddaughter. He also enjoyed the outdoors and horseracing. Steve was U.S. Army Veteran and retired as Sales Manager from Neil Huffman Automotive Group.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kim Hargis; two children, Melanie Figaniak (Damon) and Michael Hargis (Ron Katzman); one granddaughter, Sophia Figaniak; his brothers and sisters, John, Gerald, David and Walt Hargis and Dorothy Holbrook, Cheryl Snyder, Debbie Ormond and Sally Malley.
A service to celebrate Steve's life will be conducted at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Family and friends are invited to gather prior to the service from 3:30-6:30 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be given to The American Heart Association or The National Kidney Foundation.
