THOMAS HAXTON Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Oct. 14 to Oct. 15, 2016.
HAXTON III, THOMAS C. 59, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 18, 1957 in Cranston, RI, he was the son of the late Thomas C. Haxton Jr. and Mary Ann (Doherty) Haxton of Warwick, RI. Growing up in Warwick Neck, he was an avid athlete and enjoyed skiing, playing soccer, and tennis. He continued his love for sports by coaching youth soccer and helping making a difference in people's lives. Tommy attended Bryant University and was an avid supporter of the Providence Friars basketball. His dedication, patience, and determination were evidenced by his passion for raising and training his beloved German Shepherds. Tommy enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his family. He loved listening to music and was a huge fan of the Grateful Dead. He was the proprietor of Haxton's Branch Ave for many years. Tommy was a man who was capable of making others laugh and cared deeply for those around him. His strong personality will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He leaves his children, Thomas C. Haxton IV, Ryan Haxton, and Sean Haxton all of Cranston; along with his former spouse Deborah Haxton. He was a great brother to his siblings Mary Ann Johnson and her husband Frank of East Bridgewater, MA, Michael Haxton and his wife Danielle of Sunapee, NH, Kevin Haxton of Warwick, Maureen Centore and her husband Carlo of Naugatuck, CT, and Patricia Angeli and her husband Richard of S. Kingstown. Tommy also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 5:00pm-8:00 pm in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rte. 117) Warwick. Funeral and burial will be private. Dear Tommy,
If you haven't guessed by now, I'm having a tough time with your passing. I am thankful you are no longer in pain, and that you are at peace. I will miss our Sunday visits, I think they meant as much to me as they did to you.It is now your turn to watch over me, and when times are tough, you can be sure I will call on you. I hate the word goodbye so I will say "Until we meet again" You were always so much more than a brother, you were a friend. Rest in peace my friend! I love you always.
Kevin
