Thomas Helm Obituary
After graduating high school, Tom attended Penn Technical School for electrical engineering. He then worked for General Electric for the next 35 years, retiring in 2001. His office was located in Pittsburgh, but his territory covered the eastern United States.
He was a member of Our Lady of Light Catholic Community in Estero and the Elks Lodge. He was a former member of St. Germain Bowling League for 37 years and South Baldwin Little League where he served as their President for 12 years. He was also a District Representative for Baldwin Borough.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Juanita K. Helm of Estero, FL; daughter, Amy Fitzgerald (Tom) of Ft. Myers, FL; son, Mark Helm (Patricia) of Plano, TX; son, Brian Helm of Welaka, FL; 5 grandchildren, Adam Fitzgerald (Emily), Craig Fitzgerald, Matthew Helm, Ryan Helm and Charles Helm; and 2 great-grandchildren, Parker and Charlotte Fitzgerald.
He is also preceded in death by brother, Edward Helm and 4 sisters, Cecelia Petro, Mary Parish, Irene Sokolovich, and Catherine Helm.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Bonita Springs-Estero Elks Lodge 3231 Coconut Rd., Estero, FL 34134.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. Please mail to: Development Office, UPMC Cancer Pavilion, Suite 1B, 5150 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15232. Juanita, Amy,Mark and Brian. Deepest sympathies in the passing of Tom. He was a great neighbor and I always enjoyed talking with him.

I've have known Tom for most of my life, the first time was in the mid 60's( he was a good friend to my brother, which they both where 19 years older then me) he came in at hunting camp (little poacher), wearing a robin hood hat with a turkey feather sticking out, as time went by, we actually didn't care for each other, until about the year 1985 I believe, when we actually completed a few jobs that needed done at another camp (james camp or the P.O.D. camp) That is when we became very good friends. He was with me when I got my first buck in archery season, I have so many GREAT memories ! I will miss him as I miss my brother.
