Thomas L. Kohl age 87 of Franklin Passed away Monday, March 14, 2011 at Heartland of Miamisburg. He was born September 20, 1923 in Rutherford Heights, PA the son of Evan and Pearl Kohl. He was a member of the VFW #3809 in Middletown, K of C Council #14400 Fr. Chuck Mentrup Franklin, K of C Assembly #3188 Fr. Nicholas Schneider 4th Degree, Sir Knight, and the 511th Paratroop Infantry Regiment 11th Airborne Division Association. He retired from Guyler Buick-GMC in 1997 and served in US Army Airborne during WWII. Thomas enjoyed watching and listening to the Cincinnati Reds games, a round of golf and sharing a good joke with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters. Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Louise of 61 years; three sons, Thomas Kohl (Barbara) of Piqua, Kevin Kohl (Lilly) of Middletown, and John Kohl (Karen) of Franklin; two brothers, Donald Kohl (Nancy) of Harrisburg, PA and Robert Kohl of Harrisburg, PA; and two sisters, Lois Murdock of Bensalem, PA and Earla Dean (Sam) of Tipp City; grandchildren, Jennifer Hanley (Brett) of Hilliard, OH, Anne Kohl of Ann Arbor, MI, Matthew, Clint, and Zachary Kohl of Franklin, and Michael Kohl of Middletown, and two Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and family members. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 10:00 at St. Mary Church in Franklin. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 pm at Anderson Funeral Home (Franklin) Memorial contributions may be made to the K of C Fr. Chuck Mentrup Council 14400, c/o St. Mary Church, 115 S.
