It is with great sadness that we announce
the sudden passing of Thomas Mantel at the age of 30 on November 26, 2012 in Burnaby. He is survived by his mother Cathy, father Chris, grandparents Irlma and Doug, sisters Courtney and Stephanie, brother Nicholas, 3 nephews and 1 niece as well as many extended family and friends. You may be gone but never forgotten! You will forever be in our hearts. A celebration of Thomas' life will held Friday December 7, 2012 at 2:00pm at Valley View Funeral home 14660 72nd Ave, Surrey BC. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to a charity of your choice.

Rest In Peace Thomas.
It pains me to have learned of your passing.
I remember Thomas as we were children most. He was always happy, and always smiling. He was a very brilliant and endearing individual with wide acceptance and A big heart.
I grew up with him as close friend, and spent many a times, dinner evenings and even summer holidays with him and the Mantel family. Although we grew apart through our formative years, We always knew when we saw each-other we were friends for life. Brothers. We knew times would just pick back up where we last left them..
It breaks my heart to know you've left all of us. And there will be no more greeting your handshakes, seeing your smile or hearing your laughter.

Yesterday we layed you to rest. Words will never express the pain and sadness in my heart. The loss to our family can never be repaired. Words can not begin to express my feelings of loss. I am so lucky to have had Thomas as a best friend and will cherish every memory. Thomas, my brother, friend and loving Uncle to my children. My heart is breaking to think of what I have lost and what we have lost as your family!
