Thomas Lee Moorhead

Thomas Lee Moorhead of Oxford, Pa. Thomas Lee Moorhead, 64, of Oxford passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015. Tom was born in Berwick, Pa. on March 3, 1950, son of the late Frederick and Eleanor (Keck) Moorhead. A graduate of the University of Delaware, he was employed with Artesian Water Company for the last 42 years. He served as a coach with Stanton-Newport Little League for more than 20 years. Tom was an antique car enthusiast and collector, and he enjoyed attending various car shows. He was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending summers at the beach and at the pool. His greatest pleasure was being with his family, especially his grandsons. Tom will be dearly missed by his wife of 43 years, Sharon (Wheeler) Moorhead; his children, Donnie and Megan Moorhead, and Cherie Moorhead; and his grandsons, Austin and Jake. He is also survived by his brother, Jim Moorhead (Joan); his sister, Maryann Lilley (Bob); his sister-in-law, Susan Wheeler; his nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog, Bella. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Friday, Jan. 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 10 a.m. followed by interment in Silverbrook Cemetery.
