Rieger, Thomas Benedict Resident of Roswell, GA, formerly a resident of Barrington, IL and Freeport IL. He was the son of Karl Benedict Rieger, MD and Lillian Hall Rieger born on July 4, 1931 in Freeport, IL. He returned to the Lord on August 25, 2011 having just celebrated his 80th birthday. Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, JoAnn and his five loving children, Holly (Bob) Curley, Tamia Rieger, Tommy (Anita), Karl (Christine), and Siobhan (John) Finnegan. Loving Grandfather to Bobby and Maeve Curley, Ben and Walker Rieger and Addison Finnegan all of whom adored their "Grampie." Also survived and missed by Nancy Payne Rieger and his Arizona nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Karyl Ann Crosson. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who reveled in their many adventures. He was a proud alum of Aquin High School Class of 1949 and Xavier University Class of 1953. Being true to his Irish heritage, he was an avid fan of Notre Dame his whole life. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend his Funeral Services on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 10:30 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 675 Riverside Road, Roswell, GA. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations may be made in his name to Aquin Catholic Schools, 1419 South Galena Avenue, Freeport, IL 61032, attn Joanne Chang. Arrangements are by the NORTHSIDE CHAPEL, 12050 Crabapple Road, Roswell. (770) 645-1414.

Dear JoAnn, Holly, Tamia, Tom, Karl and Siobhan -

I want to extended by sympathy to all of you. It's at these times in our lives that remind us of the the importance of having family & friends, and what better way than to be with the ones you truly love. It's also a test of our faith.
