Thomas Shelton Obituary
Thomas Dailey Shelton, 62, of Stanardsville, passed away Monday, December 21, 2009.
Tommy was born July 11, 1947, in Charlottesville, son of Anna Katherine Parceseppe and the late Thomas Monroe Shelton.
He is survived by his mother, Anna Katherine Parceseppe; three daughters, Shane Shelton and her companion, Billy Pugh, Jamie Taylor and her husband, C.J., Erin Shelton and her fiance, Chris Morris, all of Stanardsville; his daughters' mother, Wanda Shelton; one brother, David Shelton and his wife, Pamela, of Ruckersville; two sisters, Betty Weaver and her husband, Norman, of South Carolina and Carole Edwards of Greene County; a stepmother, Eula Shelton; and many other family members and friends.
Tommy is also survived by seven grandchildren, Christina Trevillian, Morgan Wilson, Austin Hayes, Christian Taylor, Amber Hayes, Emma Taylor and James Taylor.
Tommy was a graduate of William Monroe High School and proudly served in the United States Navy. He was a farmer for many years.
Tommy was a loving son, father and grandfather who was always willing to lend a helping hand to a neighbor or to anyone in need. He preferred to live a simple life. He will be greatly missed by all.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at the Ryan Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Kyle Clements officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Greene County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 302, Stanardsville, Virginia 22973.
Ryan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

We were so very sad to hear of your loss of Tommy. Memories of Tommy bring smiles to our faces. Tommy served as our mentor as we were the city slickers coming to the country. His easy smile, his patience in teaching us about farm life, and his unending desire to help out anyone in need will be our remembrances of Tommy. The world should have more men like Tommy. He will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with both family and friends.
