Thomas Shuey Obituary
Thomas L. Shuey, 67 of Fredericksburg passed away on Saturday November 26, 2016 at The Lebanon VA Medical Center.
Tom was born in Union Twp. on August 4, 1949 to the late Herbert and Florence Kohr Shuey. Thomas had worked as a carpenter foreman for the Department of Public Welfare at the Hamburg Center. Thomas was also a US Navy Veteran having served in Vietnam. He was a member of Fredericksburg American Legion and the VFW. He had formerly served as president of AFSUME at the Hamburg Center. He was also active with softball on various teams and enjoyed bowling.
Surviving are his children, Ashley P. Shuey of Shartlesville, Vicki and husband John Helsley of Pittsburgh, Teri Lyn and husband Mike Marks of Lebanon, 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and brothers Earnest E. Shuey and his wife Elaine and John Shuey and his wife Susan of Jonestown. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tabitha Keller.
Funeral services will be held on Friday December 2, 2016 at 11:30AM from Kreamer and Lum Funeral Home and Crematory, Camp Meeting Road and RT 72, Jonestown. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with military honors. Viewing will be held Thursday December 1, 2016 from 6PM - 8PM and again Friday morning from 10:30 - 11:30AM at the funeral home.

For years I helped Tom with getting his cats spayed/neutered, we talked the last time I saw him at the Farmer's Wife he said he was still fighting for his health and was worried about his kitty cats. I somehow missed his obituary in the paper. I'm so sorry

John and I were saddened by this news. John especially became a close friend. They shared yard sale, flea market and auction stories and attended most. He was a good friend of John's folks too and helped them out when family could not. RIP Tommy. You will be remembered with every bargain and public sale we attend.
