Thomas (T.J.) Warner Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 11, 2025.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Joseph Warner (T.J.), aged 39 of Buckeye, AZ, who left us far too soon on August 6, 2025. Born on November 17, 1985, in Chandler, AZ to Lauren Johnson and Joseph Warner. T.J. spent his formative years in Moravia, N.Y. with his mother, beloved stepfather, Paul Richards and his two younger sisters, Rebecca and Amy.

From an early age, T.J. embraced life with open arms. Whether it was exploring the outdoors, sharing spontaneous adventures with friends and family and most of all enjoying his love of playing football. T.J. had a gift for making every moment feel vibrant and unforgettable, his smile and humor lit up any room, and his spirit was infectious. He left a lasting impression on all those who knew him.

T.J. graduated from Moravia High School in 2004, then later joined the U.S. Military in 2009, serving in the Army Infantry. He deployed and served time in the Middle East. T.J.'s strong love for his country was an exemplary example of American Patriotism. In 2022 T.J. voluntarily made the journey to the Ukraine to aid Ukrainian citizens in their efforts to protect their country against war.

T.J. welcomed his first son, Wyatt Warner on June 17, 2014, who became the focal point in T.J.'s life. T.J. then joined the love of his life, Emma Cobb in marriage on November 2, 2019, and welcomed his second son, Cooper Cobb Warner into their lives on November 29, 2022.

T.J. was a devoted husband to Emma and father to Wyatt and Cooper. While he continued to enjoy the great outdoors, watching MMA, WWII movies, attending auctions the most important thing was for T.J.'s family and friends to join him. He often expressed his love for the West and his rodeo days with friends. He built a solid reputation in the auto wrecking industry while working side by side with his grandma Sue, cousin Ty, and uncle Charles (Corky) Warner at A & S Auto Wrecking.

T.J. is survived by his wife Emma Warner, his much-loved sons, Wyatt and Cooper, Mother Lauren Richards, sisters Rebecca Warner and Amy (Tyler) Richards, nieces Alexis Freier and Alayna McGuire, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and his entire Cobb family.

T.J. was preceded in death by his stepfather, Paul Richards.

A celebration of life will be held at the Warner Ranch in Buckeye, AZ on a future date to be announced.

It is with profound sadness that my family notes the untimely death of T J. He will always be remembered for his strength and determination. There are no words to express the depth of the sense of loss of a son, brother nephew, husband father, or grandson. May God hold all of you in the palm of his hand and grant you Peace as you go through this period of grief. RIP TJ.

Emma I am so sorry to hear of your husbands passing. I am sorry for your pain and the feeling of everything a blur, confusion and that inability to breath at times. You have much support from your mom and dad. I know I felt their love at my time of loss. Much love to you and your family.

I am so incredibly sorry to hear about TJ. I was so honored to have met him recently for the first time. He had an amazing spirit and could always make those around him laugh.
