Tom was a wonderful man. When we joined the Sugar Bowl together he was helpful, cordial and always a good friend. He will be greatly missed .

I was a law clerk to Judge Wicker during the last few years before he retired. He was a jurist dedicated to the law and I respected him enormously. When he retired, we on his staff gave him a plaque that said, “An honest man is the noblest work of God,” which was so apt a description of his character. My deepest sympathy to his family. He will be missed by all who knew him. I regret I am unable to attend the viewing to express my condolences personally, due to my own medical problems. Sincerely, Elora Fink

Tom shared my love for Tulane with both of us serving as President of the Tulane University Alumni Association. Tom served on my Executive as a wise counselor and helped me greatly. Later I enjoyed visiting with Tom and Jane when out socially. Tom was a wonderful inspiring gentleman who lived with passion. Rest In Peace, my friend.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I met Judge Wicker through my parents who were dear friends of his and whom I had the pleasure of becoming his friend, too. He was always so eager to help and generous knowing how to make people feel good about themselves. He was truly a gentleman that will be sadly missed. Praying you find comfort in the wonderful memories of him. Sharon Haydel Buchert
