Timothy Britt Obituary
Born Jan. 15, 1951, in Tonawanda, he was the son of John Melvin and Margaret Short Britt. On Sept. 16, 2005, in Salamanca, he married the former Leann Harrison.
Tim had grown up in Tonawanda and attended the City of Tonawanda High School, where he later received his GED. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. In 1972, he began work at National Grid in Tonawanda and later he went to National Grid school to become an electrician. Eventually he became a supervisor for the company, retiring in 2005 and moving to Caneadea. The past few years, he and his wife spent winters in North Carolina.
He participated in wrestling, baseball, football, hunting, doing mechanical work on cars, remodeling houses, traveling and watching TV.
He was a member of the Tonawanda American Legion.
Surviving besides his wife Leann are two sons, Marc (Kris) Britt of Cambrea and Thomas Britt of Buffalo; two stepsons, Jeffrey (Lou) Harrison of Salamanca and Brett (Susan) Harrison of Calabasas, Calif.; five grandchildren, Eric Harrison of Salamanca, Bryan Harrison of Salamanca, Kaylee Britt of Salamanca, Ava Harrison of Calabasas, and Samuel Harrison of Calabasas; two brothers, Paul Britt of Leland, N.C., and Jack (Lael) Britt of Tonawanda; a sister, Kathy (David) Seigman of Pendleton; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitations or funeral services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Treusdell Funeral Home, Belfast. Condolences for the family may be expressed by visiting www.treusdellfuneral home.com.

Leann, To lose a loved one is never easy so there isn't much I can say except stay strong. I met Tim while getting my hair done and I remember him offering me a beer!! A guy that seemed to be down to earth and someone I wish I had known better. Thank God you had him for the time that you did.

Tim and I shared many memories over many years. A lot of beer and even more laughs. We were the best of friends. Wellsville, Rushford, Letchworth, Nascar at the Glen, I could go on and on. Rest in peace Vern, you will be greatly missed. Tim

I did not see Tim very often because I worked out of the Olean Service Center. My first run in with him came during the Big Ice Storm of northern New York. We worked together during that time and formed a lasting bond. My sympathies to his family and friends.
