Timothy Dyer Obituary
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at Esterdahl Mortuary Ltd, 6601 38th Ave., Moline. Visitation is Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial is in National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Riverside/Grant, 3595 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43214 or to the American Cancer Society.
Tim was born December 21, 1953, in Moline, the son of Floyd W. and Delores Dyer. He married Theresa "Terrie" Scherer on January 11, 1975, in Moline.
Tim was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a co-owner, along with his wife Terrie, of Presto Sales, Tupperware Distributors, in Springfield, Ill. In 1997, he moved to Columbus, where he was employed by Riverside Methodist Hospital as an Instrument Technician.
Survivors include his wife, Terrie; daughters, Tobey (Greg) Kline, Ypsilanti, Mich., and Tiffany (Tim) Stein, Madison, Wis.; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Kline; brothers, Dewey (Mary Ann) Dyer, Geneseo, Ill., Carlos (Pat) Dyer, Lexington, SC, Guy Dyer, Davenport, Jeffrey (Lynette) Dyer, Memphis, Mo., Robert Dyer, Moline, and David (Brenda) Dyer, Columbia, SC; sister-in-law, Betsy Dyer, Ocean City, NJ; mother-in-law,Lavora "Lollie" Scherer, Moline; and brother-in-law, Jeffrey (Vickie) Scherer, Moline.
He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Dick Dyer.
