GOODYEAR, Timothy Timothy "Tim" Charles Goodyear, 66, of Monticello, GA (formerly Lawrenceville, GA), died on June 28th, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Tim was born and raised in Akron, Ohio by his loving father William "Bill" Harvey Goodyear and mother Thelma Louise Goodyear. He attended Copley High School and graduated in 1966. From there Tim moved on to Northern Michigan University and eventually was drafted into the U.S. Army. He proudly served in the U.S. Army 10th Special Forces. He is preceded in death by his father William "Bill" Harvey Goodyear (2012). He is survived by his mother, Thelma Louise Goodyear of Centerburg, OH, Brother Ted (Lynn) Goodyear of Centerburg, OH, and three children: Son, Timothy (Victoria) Charles Goodyear ll of Grayson, GA, Daughter, Kelly Anne Goodyear of Snellville, GA, and Daughter, Kimberly Jane Goodyear of Bethlehem, GA. Tim also had six grandchildren Jordan, Emma, Lily, Kayleigh, Amelia, and Kate. Other surviving family include step-daughter Kristy (Brian) Helms, step-granddaughter Taylor Helms, niece Jessica Goodyear, and nephew Todd Goodyear. Tim was a long time electrician with Eckhardt Electric and retired a few years ago. He was a long time member of IBEW Local Union 613 and VFW Post 5255. In life there was nothing Tim enjoyed more than being outdoors. Some of his favorite activities included perch and walleye fishing on Lake Erie (especially on the Funbird I & II), Hunting at the Hunting Club and Bud's Old Dairy Farm, Skeet and Trap Shooting, and tinkering with random projects in and around the house. One thing was certain, if something was broken - Tim could fix it. Tim requested to be cremated. His ashes will be interred at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. A date has yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the VFW Post 5255, P.O. Box 54 - Lawrenceville, GA 30046. RIP "Dad", "Daddy", "Old Timer" & "Pops & Pop".
