Timothy O'Mara Obituary
Born October 28, 1966 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Joseph and Helen Martin O'Mara of Haverford, PA.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher J. O'Mara and sister, Ehrin O'Mara.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his children, Ryan Joseph and Lindsey Anne O'Mara; sisters Meighan McGovern and husband Peter and Katie Mears and husband Bob.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Hickory. Mr. Scott Gilfillan, deacon, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Aloysius Academy, 401 S. Bryn Mawr Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 or to Support of Hickory Lacrosse, c/o First Citizen Bank, Attn: Sophie, P.O. Box 458, Hickory, NC 28603.

Hated to hear of Tim's passing. He was such a great guy. It's been a long time but I've never forgotten the joy he brought with him.

My deepest condolences to Tim's entire family. I just learned of his passing in the St. Aloysius' Alumni Newsletter. If my memory serves me correctly, Tim and I were classmates throughout St. Al's. We graduated in '81. Great guy, better person. Got me to play football for St. Al's. Truly a good person. I am saddened by his passing.

With deepest sympathy to Tim's family, this is so sad - I just heard the news of Tim's passing. My prayers are with his family during this sad time. I have not seen Tim in nearly 30 years, but he is that type of person who would have welcomed me after all that time with his larger-than-life smile and laugh, and with deep Irish hospitality. I knew Tim from high school and always enjoyed his company and vigorous spirit for life. Our loss here is heaven's gain, and I'm sure life up there is a little more animated with Tim's arrival.
