As I woke up this morning, I thought of one of the last times that I had seen Tim. It was at my son's home in Austin. I hadn't consciously remembered that this was the anniversary of his death, but it was there in my memory. I miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with his daughter, Ana Marie and sister, Susan.

I just learned today of Tim's death from a fellow classmate at UT Southwestern med school class of 1990. We both agreed that we felt a closeness to all members of our class. I feel an alliance with Tim as we both did internal medicine and then he specialized further. He was always kind and saw the humor in situations. Rest in peace!

I remember Tim as the Drum Corps captain in 1982. Tim was the nicest dude in high school... like the nicest! He had perfect sandy-blonde hair and he was awesome on snare. May he rest in peace.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Tim's passing. We were in drum corps and band together during junior high and high school. He was always nice, funny and generally a funny guy to be around. I have very fond memories of him.

My heart goes out to his family and loved ones. There is one more bright star in the heavens.

I last saw Tim at Home Depot. He was in a great mood and had just had a PET scan he was confident would be good news. He snuck up from behind and put his hands over my eyes (this doesn't happen at Home Depot.)
I recognised his voice and we talked forever. He was eager to come back to work at the hospital where he had developed a hospice program.
This was Tim. Always jovial and friendly with a contagious smile. I still miss him.

I am still shocked and so, so saddened over the loss of Tim. We were good friends in high school and for a few years after that. I will always remember his friendly smile and the good times all of our friends had together.

May God bless his family and friends with peace and loving and comforting memories of Tim. Many prayers being sent to you all.

Tim was a very special person. He was my neighbor for 16 years. I have since moved to Frisco, but I always tried to visit him any time I was in the area. I will miss those memories.

So sorry to hear about this tremendous loss. Tim was my RA in our dorm at AC, and then I was fortunate that he became my Big Brother in our fraternity. We were only at school together for one year, but in that time he truly made a difference in my life. He helped me transition into my new phase in life, and was there as a friend, brother and mentor. Though we lost contact, he played a crucial role in my life and I will never forget.

I am so shocked and saddened by this news.
Tim and I were in drum corps together and he was a good friend throughout our high school years.
I am being flooded with so many great and fun memories of our group of friends, it certainly was a cherished time!

Sending love and prayers for comfort and peace for his family and friends.

I only knew Tim for a short while in high school when I was a sophomore and Tim was a senior and our drum corp captain. Some of the things he said to me have stuck with me to this day- I'm sure he never knew the positive impact he had in my life. My condolences to his family and friends.

Tim has been part of our family life since he was on the Diggers soccer team. He was the goalie, and very good at his job. Son, Tom Boyd, and Tim became friends and attended North Junior High, and Pearce High School in Richardson together. The young men went on to Austin College for their undergraduate work.
Later, Tim and Tom stayed pals and I have followed Tim's family since. He was a great friend, wonderful Dad to Ana Marie and a skilled physician. My heart breaks that such a good soul was taken from his family too soon.
I'll miss you, Tim.

Tim, I am glad to know that you are relieved of pain and worry now. You are in God's warm embrace looking down on your gorgeous daughter as she continues to grown into that beautiful young lady you helped develop. Your overwhelming love for Ana Marie was so evident- encouraging and challenging her academically, athletically, artistically, and independently. You will be missed dearly, but we are comforted to know that you are in Heaven above watching over Ana as her special guardian angel.

Tim, I know that you are relieved of all the pain and worry now. You are in God's warm embrace and you get to watch down on Ana as she continues growing into the beautiful young lady you helped develop. You were such a wonderful father to Ana Marie- encouraging her growth academically, artistically, and independently. We will miss you dearly, but are comforted to know that you are happy in Heaven above watching and guiding Ana through life as her special Guardian angel.

I'm so sorry for Ana's loss, she had a great father and many wonderful memories of him to last forever. And such a wonderful mother as well to help with the transition. He will be forever remembered and missed in the neighborhood, a happy neighbor with many, many friends and a good father.

I am so sad to read of Tim's passing. I knew him as a fellow parent at our children's preschool/kindergarten. He was a GREAT and involved Dad who's love for Ana Marie was so apparent. I'd often see them riding their bike in North Grapevine and around Bear Creek trail. Sending love to Ana Marie and his family.

I met Dr. Dr. Schroeder in 2006 when I worked at TX Pulmonary & Critical care in Grapevine. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, he fought a long battle and he will be missed by so many. May God comfort all those who loved and cared for him.

It takes a special person and a calling from God for someone to want to work in the field of Hospice & Palliative Care. I believe that Tim was one of the special ones and that he touched many lives along the way as he cared for the sick and dying and gave comfort to their families.
