Timothy Vogeler

Timothy Robert Vogeler, 65, of Frederick, MD, passed away on August 24, 2022. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 15, 1956, to the late Herman H. and Mary C. (Rownd) Vogeler. He graduated from St. Rita School for the Deaf in Cincinnati, Ohio. He got his bachelor's degree from Gallaudet University. He got his master's degree in deaf education at Western Maryland College.

He was predeceased by his son, SFC Lance H. Vogeler; his sister, Colleen F. (Vogeler) Boyle; and his brother, Christopher Vogeler.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna L. Vogeler; his son, Christopher M. Vogeler (Emily); his daughter-in-law, Melissa Vogeler; and 5 grandchildren, Madison Eyler, Kyle Klomstad, Colin Vogeler, Eleanor Vogeler and Samuel Vogeler. He is also survived by his siblings, Sharon (Vogeler) Commins; Thomas Vogeler; Kay (Vogeler) Grammel (Garry); Mark Vogeler; Patrick Vogeler (Karen); Renee (Vogeler) Cifuentes (Jim); 7 nephews; 4 nieces; and numerous great nephews and great nieces.

He was a loyal fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cincinnati Reds. He was an active church member at FCOB. He was always so proud of his 2 Army Ranger sons. He loved to draw. He worked at Maryland School for the Deaf for 39 years.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Tim on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 12:00 pm at Frederick Church of the Brethren, 201 Fairview Avenue, Frederick, MD.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that donations be made to the 1st Ranger Battalion Sua Sponte Foundation in his memory.
