Tony WONG Obituary
Dr. Tony Wong, born in Christchurch, New Zealand in 1942, died peacefully on April 1, 2016 surrounded by his loving family; he will be greatly missed, especially by his wife Sue, children Sarah, David, and Julia, their spouses and eight grandchildren. His patience and humour survived seven years of numerous strokes. Tony was a gentle, generous and humble soul. He had the spirit of an artist, loving painting, pottery and music. He loved soccer, rugby, cooking/eating and his vegetable garden. Along with his scholarly and philanthropic talents, he passed on his athleticism and love of sports to his children and others, supporting them to national and international arenas. An excellent clinician and researcher, he was valued even more for his warmth, kindness and generosity. Tony loved his family and helping other people. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, April 8 at 2 p.m. at St Mary's (Kerrisdale) Anglican Church, 2490 West 37th Avenue, Vancouver. Donations can be made to Vancouver Hospice Society, Emails or letters sharing a memory of Tony would also be welcome

We are so sorry to have missed the service in memory of Tony; Our thoughts are with you Sue and family as you all move forward. Tony was so terribly proud of his children and grandchildren; I am recalling a conversation I had with him not very long ago as he mentioned each grandchild by name and expressed his love and pride in each of them.
