I often lie awake at night
When all the world's asleep
I take a walk down memory lane
With tears upon my cheek
No one sees my broken heart
That lies behind my smile
No one knows the loneliness
That's with me all the while
If I could visit Heaven
On this, my saddest day
Then maybe for a moment
The pain would go away
I would put my arms around you, Tuck
And kiss your smiling face
And then this broken heart of mine
Would fall gently back to place.
I will always love you until the end of time,
your loving wife Cathy.
