Vahid Salehi Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 12, 2025.
Vahid Salehi died peacefully on August 4, 2025 in Morrow, Ohio.

The son of Colonel Mehdi Salehi and Masumeh E'temadi, Vahid was born in Tehran, Iran, on June 13, 1941. He immigrated to the United States in 1961, working and studying in several states before settling in Lexington, KY in 1968, where he lived and worked for most of his life. The second-youngest of eleven children, Vahid was a part of a close-knit family that eventually spread across the globe and around the United States.

Vahid was an award-winning salesman for Pitney Bowes for over 20 years before he started his own mailing and shipping company, MailPro, in 1990. MailPro grew to be a significant competitor in the automated mailing industry in Lexington. In 2017, Vahid sold MailPro and moved to Florida to enjoy golf, travel, and socializing with friends.

Vahid tremendously enjoyed listening to classical music and playing chess and backgammon with his siblings. He loved his family and was very proud of his children and enjoyed bragging about his grandchildren.

Vahid is survived by six siblings, three children, and six grandchildren.

Angelique France Campbell (Matt), Bijan Salehi (Keren), and Roshan Salehi Davidz (AJ) supported Vahid in his final days, and they would like to thank the hospice professionals who worked with their father for their expertise and compassion. Grandchildren include Ashley M. Campbell Rainey (Ethan), James "Alex" Campbell, Ava R. Salehi, Brinley G. Davidz, Jackson B. Salehi, and Andreas J. Davidz. Vahid also has six surviving brothers and sisters.
