Our Dearest Jeanie, May you remember all the good times, before Val got ill, you had with us, your family, and all your many friends. You were such a wonderful wife, and I'm sure that is why he hung on so long, he did not want to leave you; but his life became such, he had to let go, to be with our Lord, and the wonderful life he once had, just waiting for you to join him, when God calls, to make it complete. May God bless you for everything you are, and always will be.

I am so sorry to hear of Val's death. He will live forever in my nearly ten year memory of working at Petrini's. He will always be that broad smile and big hello booming from behind the counter. And of course, he was Jeanie's sweetheart, our favorite checker. My thoughts are with you Jeanie, and your family. Although it has been over 20 years since we last worked together, it feels like just yesterday now.
