Valerie Gold Obituary
Valerie, a Sullivan High School graduate, was known for her love of music, her vitality, and her unforgettable laugh. She brought joy and warmth to all who knew her and will be deeply missed. Sadly, Val lost her battle with PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) after many years of fighting and never gave up.
Services will be Tuesday, September 16th at 11AM at Temple Shir Hadash, 200 W Dundee Rd, Wheeling, IL 60090 followed immediately by Shiva and condolence visits until 8PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to CUREPSP, 325 Hudson Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10013, www.psp.org or the PSP & CBD Foundation, www.pspcbdfoundation.org. Val was such a spirited woman. We shared the joys of raising spirited children, who have all become wonderful adults. From Camp Pinewood to DePaul to heavy metal and bluegrass bands and beyond, we watched our kids thrive. Val's memory will always be a blessing.

I will always remember Val as the vibrant warm hearted woman who hid me and my daughter to surprise Rochelle on her birthday. She made us feel so at home, always. All my love to Phil and the kids.
