I will truly miss Mr.Brou, and I thank him for being the grandfather that I never had. He was a great husband to Mrs.Brou, a great father to Ms.Peggy and Ms.Robin, a great grandfather to Elliot, Lilly, and Amelia, and a great neighbor to my mom and I. He will always be in my thoughts, for as long as I live, until I see him again in heaven.

When I moved next door to Mr. and Mrs. Brou many years ago, they took me under their wing. When I had my son, they treated Alex as one of their own...looking out for him. Mr. Brou was the kindest, gentlest soul and we miss him so much. I pray that God will comfort the Hatheway family and let them know that they will be with him again someday.

Vernon Brou was my uncle. He was kind and helpful. He was a very good, honest and loyal man. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren very much. He set a

wonderful example for his children and grandchildren. He was always responsible, dependable, trustworthy and loyal. He was always there for his family. He was a gentleman, and a man of integrity and character. There are few men like him. His wife, children and grandchildren are very fortunate to have had him in their lives. I hope that his beautiful grandchildren will always remember him and how much he did to help them with school and with their activities, and will remember what a spectacular, fine and loving man he was. He led by example. He will be missed tremendously by everyone who knew him well. My condolences and love to all.

Mr. Brou was a true father figure, as well as a grandfather. I remember him always caring for Lily, Amelia, and Elliot. And anytime I needed his help watching the kids, he was there for me. He was a good person.

Vernon Brou was my grandfather. Everyone tells me I am kinda like him because we both always snuck icecream and cookies into our bellys and he loved me some much. When my brother would chase me around his house all I had to do was go stand behind his chair or sit on his lap and my brother would stop chasing me .When I would ask him to do something for me he would do it . He always kept a picture of me on his mirror. He bought me what ever I wanted from the grocery around the block. *I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.*

The Brou/Hatheway family have been in my heart and in my family for years. I knew Robin and the Brou's before I got married and before I had my children. Mr. Brou and his wife treated me like one of the family. His mannerisms were always soft and consistant. He was honest and truly believed in chilvary. He was one of a kind. His mannerisms show through in some of grandchildren. We will foster those facets... All my love to his family and friends

I met Mr. Brou at Robin and Taysir's wedding. We spent about an hour together in the kitchen chatting about Robin, his hopes for her happy future, his pride in all of her accomplishments. I found him to be a warm, charming man who loved his family... especially his daughter Robin.

If there ever was a person who deserved to go to Heaven, Vernon Brou is the one. He was a truly devoted husband, father and grandfather and treated me as a family member. I loved him and will sorely miss him.
