Brenda, I just heard about Ed's passing. My heartfelt condolences to you and the family. Ed was a great guy and cared deeply for others both here and beyond.

(2 Corinthians 3:2-6 NASB)
"You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
Such confidence we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life."
I met Ed through his 3 sons and his daughters-in-law - all of whom were my close brothers and sisters in Christ. Ed and Brenda have been with us at each of the 3 churches where we have served and ministered over the past 35 years. As many others have observed, Ed was a trophy of God´s grace. He embodied this verse. He was a human letter of the Gospel of Jesus Christ - adequate to minister through no virtue of his own - his adequacy was through Christ.
Ed was always introducing people to Jesus. And he continually challenged his brothers and sisters in Christ to deeper obedience, gently reproving them as needed. And importantly, he was sensitive to the Spirit´s reproof from others as well. Enjoy your rest, Ed. See you soon!

Ed jumped in a battle that I and other owners were in at a resort in Florida. He and I fought for many years against a developer that was stealing thousands from the owners, without Ed we would not have prevailed. Ed and I became very close and I am honored to have known him as my friend. I will miss him greatly. Marie and I wish Brenda and the rest of Ed´s family strength at this difficult time.

My first memory was the first time we met. It was at a men´s breakfast and we broke up into groups to share what the Lord has been doing in our lives and how we could use prayer. As I listened to him briefly bring up his health and the nearness of death, it made me ponder on what I prioritized in my life. It seemed like in my Christian walk that I still put me at the center of everything. So I asked Ed intently and bluntly about what specifically the Lord was showing him as he prepared to meet His Lord. Long story short Ed revealed taught me it is the Lord is sovereign over our lives and it pleases the Lord to do with us what the Lord wants to do even in very last days. Ed was a man of realness, rawness that I needed a lot because he helped me to search for the root of the sin that was in my life and that Jesus was simply and ultimately the cure for it.

Ed was very special to me. In fact, I owe him a debt of gratitude that I will never be able to repay, no matter how long we spend together in eternity. He took a big chance and led me to Christ, then discipled me for years. He was always thinking of others and spending his time and resources to help them, especially spiritually. What an incredible guy!

My brother Ed. He was quite a work-in-progress when the Lord got hold of him a bit over 40 years ago. But what a man of God he became! A powerful man of God. He loved and served inner city kids. How fortunate those kids were. He loved the lost because he knew he had been lost and then experienced the joy of being found. And that joy is now greater than ever. Andy Steinman

Ed was one of my closest friends. We both loved Jesus and did a lot of ministry together in the dental community. Together, we helped a lot of dentists enter the Kingdom of God. I will miss lunches with him and John McElheny. We studied the Bible together for over 35 years. I am jealous that he is having coffee with Wanda before me. I am so anxious to join them in their next cup. duke heller
