Vernon HENRY

HENRY, Vernon Grenville On August 20, 2004, Vernon Grenville Henry of Wetaskiwin passed away at the age of 73 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joan; son, Stephen and Candace Henry and grandson Jet of Edmonton; sisters, Gladys Blagden of Lavenham, Manitoba and Noreen (Barney) Marantz of Winnipeg, Manitoba and other relatives and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Hugh and Gertrude Henry and brother-in-law, Cliff Blagden. Over the years, Vern was active in the community with Fish & Game, Senior's Curling Association and for many years coached minor hockey and softball. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on Thursday, August 26, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Chapel (5302-50 Avenue, Wetaskiwin). A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, August 27, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ruth Lumax officiating. Cremation with interment in the Wetaskiwin Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of floral tributes, memorial donations to the Wetaskiwin Minor Softball Association, Senior's Curling Association or to the Cross Cancer Institute would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
