On Monday, July 25, 2011 Victor Baer fondly remembered as Papa Baer, Broadview SK., passed away at the age of 81 years in the Regina General Hospital. The funeral mass will be celebrated in the Holy Name of Mary R. C. Church Broadview, SK., on Friday July 29, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. celebrated by Rev. Anthony Varghese Padayatty. Cremation with interment in Broadview Cemetery. Predeceased by his wife Agnes Neumann in 2008 and one brother Frank Baer. Victor is survived by his three loving daughters: Joan (Ralph) Beattie and family Chad (Tannis) and their daughters Madison and Brooklyn, Scott (Karissa) and Brandon, Ivy (Robert) Goodbrand and family Derek (Sheena) and their daughters Tennessee and Dixie, Benton, Ian (Vicki), Amy (Neil), Bonnie (Kevin) Baer and family Tyler and Dylan, brothers: Ernie, William, Reynold; sisters; Kate, Jeanette, Beatrice Marlene as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Victor was born and raised in Grayson District where his family farmed. He met Agnes Neumann and they were married in 1951, moved to Broadview in 1954 where they raised their three daughters. Victor worked at the Broadview School from 1974 until his retirement in 1988. His School was always spic and span and operating top-notch. Previous to the school, Vic worked at the Broadview creamery where he won numerous awards as butter maker. He was a proud, modest, hard working man who loved his family, teased everyone mercilessly and enjoyed crib, coffee hour and his many friends. If friends so desire contributions may be made to the Renal Unit Regina General Hospital 1440 14th Avenue Regina SK., S4P 0W5 or to the Canadian Diabetes Association 917 Albert Street Regina , SK., S4R 2P6 may be tokens of remembrance.

Joan, Ivy, Bonnie and family,
Our deepest sympathy in the loss of your father. Knowing Victor since school and as a brother-in-law when he married my sister, Agnes, he was always a positive person with a joke to tell and a smile on his face. We will miss him but take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace with Agnes. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Our deepest sympathy and condolences to all the family of Victor Baer. I, Mathilda have known Victor all my life, having gone to school with him and then he married my sister Agnes. Victor was always jolly and happy. You could always have a good laugh with him. He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family. Goodbye Victor, we'll see you later on in a different world. Our deepest sympathy to the family.I worked with your Dad all the years that he was at the Broadview School. After I retired from the school and started to work again. He was always teasing me about Double-Dipping and I would reply "It's only a little splash", which would always make him laugh. Yes, we will all miss him. But what a great homecoming it must have been for him to meet your Mom and family members who had gone before him. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time.Victor, rest in peace.
