Victor Pacelli Obituary

Victor A. Pacelli, 86, formerly of Jeannette, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, in Westmoreland Manor. He was born Feb. 26, 1919, in Jeannette, a son of the late Antonio and Martella Crete Pacelli. Prior to retirement, he was employed by PennDOT and he was a member of the Ascension Church of Jeannette, where he served as an usher, and the church's Holy Name Society. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gennivie Nelson Pacelli; four brothers, Michael A. Pacelli Sr.; Phillip L. Pacelli, Joseph Pacelli, and Edward Pacelli; and two sisters, Antoinette Hensberger and Theresa Pacelli. He is survived by a brother, John Pacelli, of Jeannette; two sisters, Betty Rugito, of Jeannette, and Dolores Jean Baird, of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends were received from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Father John Foriska officiating. Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.
