Vincent J. Iacoi

Norwich - Vincent Iacoi, 89, of Norwich, CT, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025. Born September 17, 1935, he was the youngest child of Mary and Louis Iacoi.

After attending NFA, Vincent began his career at the Norwich State Hospital, where he rose through the ranks to Director of Food Service, retiring after 40 years of dedicated service. He married the love of his life, Joan (Donais), in 1958 and went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Army from July 1958 to June 1960.

Vincent loved cooking, gardening, golf, the beach, cards, and cheering on the Yankees. He gave back to his community, most notably by co-chairing the Bishop Riley Open for over 20 years, an event that supported the St. Bernard's Scholarship Fund.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; his daughter, Ivy, and her husband, John; and his son, Jamie. He was predeceased by his siblings: Louis Jr., Joseph, Rose, and Frank. Known lovingly as "Uncle Sonny," he leaves behind many nieces, nephews and many cherished friends -especially his life long friends at Jim's Trailer Park in Misquamicut, where he and Joan spent 58 summers.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 14th at the Calabrese Club, 28 Pleasant Street, Westerly, RI beginning at 12:00 PM.
