I Saw in the recent Bethel Focus about Ginny's death. I didn't know her well, but I do remember her from our time in theatre classes at Bethel. I'm very sorry for your loss.

I heard of Ginny's tragic accident from a mutual friend, Jody McCormick. Ginny, Jody, and I sang in a group together in the early 80's. I was always so impressed with her talent, professionalism, and her grace and warmth. My heart felt condolences and prayers to you all.

Dear marilyn, Jeff and David,
I was so saddened to hear of Ginny's passing. I want to send my prayers to all of you. I knew all of you through my friend Carolyn Hoffman. I work a Lyngblomsten care center. I remember how much aunt "Carla" loved you all. May God comfort you all at this terrible time. I know that Ginny is with Carolyn now, playing piano and singing with the angels.

Dear Marilyn and family,
It was a shock to read in an editorial about the bike accident of a Viginia "Ginny" Heuer, and I wondered with disbelief if this was the same Ginny that I knew. I went online to check it out and am saddened to find out it is the same. I am so sorry for your loss. I have read every entry about Ginny and I am very sad that I have not known her since our days at Bachmans. I must admit, Marilyn, since I have seen you a handful of times over the years, I have thought also of Ginny and what she was up to with her life. I only knew that she traveled a lot as you told me that just this past August at the Holy Spirit conference in AH.

Ginny sang at our wedding (26 yrs ago) and I remember that the small gift I had for her got lost and never was found. I never paid her and she never said anything to me as I did not realize this had happened until afterwards. I have never forgotten the beautiful job she did and have also thought that I should contact her some how and repay her for sharing her gifted voice with us. She now knows the many thanks I have silently whispered. Kevin and I only came once to see Ginny and gang perform at the Camelot while performing as the Touch of Class. We had a wonderful time and it truly was a "touch of class". As I have read the entries, and shed some tears over them, I can only see now how many lives she touched, what a wonderful and beautiful woman of God she was, and how sad I am that her life here on earth ended so suddenly and tragically.

May our God wrap you in His arms of love, and hold you close as you grieve the loss of your dear daughter, sister, wife, aunt, and friend. We do not get the paper daily so I believe it was by His divine timing that I saw this from Friday's paper this morning and I will hold you and the family up in prayer before the Lord.

In sincere sympathy,
Cindy (and Kevin) Alstad

I didn't know Ginny as an adult. But, I used to babysit for she and David many years ago. It sounds like Ginny inherited her mother's exuberance and joy in living. I'm so sorry to hear that it ended suddenly and cruely for her family. I wish to convey my condolences to Marilyn and David by way of this impersonal medium. I have good memories of both of you.

Jeff,

Ginny was a bright flower. I am thankful our lives touched. She leaves a loving memory in my mind. I offer you my sympathy and comfort, but I know they cannot erase your deep pain or return peace to your life. May you find solace in Jesus' words: "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid" (John 14:27). May the Lord's unfailing love be your comfort.

To Ginny's family,

I did not know Ginny, but I have a strong feeling that we passed beside each other more than once...
I am a bike commuter and I ride Summit Avenue almost everyday to and from my job and errands. When I read about the accident in the paper, I got on my bike and rode to the site. It is a place that I know well. I can't say how sad it makes me feel to be in such a lovely place where such a tragedy has occurred.

Each day that I ride past the accident site, I pause to think of Ginny. It is such a terrible loss.
My heart goes out to all of you.

peace,
Linda

JEFF AND JODI THE GRIEF YOU MUST SUFFER WITH THE LOSS OF A SPOUSE , A FRIEND, A PARTNER, IS A PAINFUL HUMAN EXPERIENCE. A BIT OF MY SENSE OF LOSS IS NEGATED BY THE JOY I KNOW GINNY BROUGHT TO SO MANY OTHERS. TRULY SOME OF THE BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE WERE SPENT BEING BROUGHT INTO THE MUSICAL AND MAGICAL WORLD OF GINNY HEUER-BOWAR AND A TOUCH OF CLASS. MIKE, JOHN, AND SO MANY OF YOUR CAMELOT FRIENDS AND FANS WERE TOUCHED BY YOUR CLASS.WHILE IT HAS BEEN OVER TWENTY YEARS SINCE WE SPENT A LOT OF TIME TOGETHER, GINNY JEFF AND JODI HAVE ALWAYS HELD A PLACE IN MY HEART AND MIND. MAY THE MEMORY OF A LIFE WELL LIVED HELP YOU FIND PEACE. LOVE TO YOU BOTH WAYNE

I am deeply saddened by Ginny's death. Although I'd only known her for 2 years, I feel much closer to her after talking with others that had known her for over 20. She was a wonderful person who always had a smile or a laugh for you. She will deeply missed at Target, and everywhere else she touched others' lives. My most sincere sympathies to her family.

Ginny freelanced at the production company I worked at for a goodly stretch of time and left a pleasant footprint when our paths diverged. She brought me flowers. She told me where to buy the prettiest dresses. She taught me about bringing something pleasant and positive to wherever I brought myself, which is exactly what she did. What a huge loss! Heartfelt sympathies to all.

I was going on the Bethel site tonight to reach my freshman daughter and found this about Ginny
I am not sure I would have recognized her - altho my husband probably would have- but we were great fans of A Touch of Class- we followed them for years at the old Camelot while we lived in EP and then continued to find them later and drive up from Rochester
What an exceptional woman she was- so grateful she shared her gifts with us- I am not surprised to read she was a Christian- the show was such good clean fun. What a cool lady- (please let us know if there will be any Touch of Class stuff in her honor)
May the Lord draw you near to Himself in your grief

Marilyn and the Heuer Family-
I got to know Ginny when I worked at Bachman's in Rosedale with Marilyn. Ginny and other family members would help out for the after Christmas sale or at Mother's Day, and she always made it so fun. It was exciting to have a conversation with her and I loved to hear about all the work she and Jeff did on their home. It was my pleasure to know Ginny. Marilyn, please know I'm thinking of you. Love,

I met Ginny recently here at Target when the Broadcast Team moved to our floor. I was impressed right away by her kind and friendly spirit. We had several conversations over the last few weeks, including last Friday, about her upcoming missions trip to Africa. She was excited about the trip, and I told her I was already looking forward to hearing about the trip and seeing pictures upon her return.

I'm so sorry for your loss. May God bring you comfort during the coming days.

Jeff and Family

I am so saddened to hear of Ginny's passing. She is one of those people I always thought about even though I had not seen her in year. We worked together at Diercks Productions in the 90's. I always hoped to get together with her again. Her laughter and smile and bright outlook on life made everyone's day a bit better. As these guest book entries testify, she will be missed by many and the world is at a loss without her sparkling personality and generous heart.

Jeff and the Heuer Family: I just learned of Ginny's death and am so terribly sad for all of you. Ginny was a great pal in high school. Just the other day I ran across a note I wrote to my mom, telling her that Ginny and I were headed to Red Wing for senior skip day! I remember well how we shared our dreams for the future that day, went off to Bethel together for more great times, and eventually went our own ways. It was great to be reunited with her after joining Roseville Lutheran in the 90s. I hadn't seen her lately. Now I'll have to wait to see her someday in Heaven. A new angel has joined the chorus!

Dear Jeff, Marilyn, Dave and family –
Losing Ginny... the ache in my heart is beyond words. My prayers and love are with you each moment.

Ginny hired me when we were all young; I was wearing my "A Touch Of Class 1987 December Tour" T-shirt just last Friday, and in my house, there are touches of Ginny everywhere – photos, recordings, props, costumes, jewelry (!), music, scripts, programs... and endless, life-affirming memories.

She was always the one to get us unstuck from the thorniest of creative challenges with a fresh idea, a crazy plot, a goofy bit, a perfect turn of phrase... unfailingly offered with a keen eye, great humor and complete honesty.

Doing shows with her was a joy – she was a complete professional, and always kept it fun without faking it. We laughed 'til we cried... and cried 'til we laughed. She brought out the best in us.

I have a veritable litany of 'Ginny Phrases' that stick with me to this day; the bond that forms when you brainstorm, create and perform together for years and years is unique, and its depth is a happy testament to the heart, soul and person that was Ginny.

Jeanette Carrell

September 30, 2008

Dear Jeff and Family:
Since the first day I worked with Ginny on her first project at Target I immediately loved her. Having to travel together gave us a lot of time to talk and had brought us close enough to share personal details of our lives. We discovered we grew up in the same area and this forged a stronger connection. We talked about her church mission trips frequently and as late as Friday she was excited about closing her Afrca trip on the Zanzibar beaches. It is hard to accept a person with so many plans to do good for this world can be taken from it. I want you to know, she spoke about you and all of her family so often and so lovingly that I know yours is a strong family. Hopefully, this strength can sustain you as you deal with this tragic loss. God Bless you all.

Oh Jeff, I'm so sorry for your loss! This was such a horrifying shock; to lose someone so wonderful, so beautiful. A person I've known for 46 years and always admired. Dear Heuer family: I run on Summit Ave all the time and at about 8:20, I saw that there had been an accident with a bike on Summit and Snelling. Although I didn't know who/what was involved, I prayed hard for the victim and family. I'm so sorry that Ginny lost her life. She must have been a remarkable, warm, strong woman of faith by what I have read about her and the tributes written here. Please know that I will continue to pray for her peaceful rest and for her family. I know that God is holding you and suffering with you in the coming difficult days without your beloved.

Ginny and I met at Bethel and were "sisters" in the production, "Lilies of the Field." We had such fun at rehearsals and made all kinds of jokes about the hot and scratchy "habits" that we had to wear. We had a plastic Mr. Bill that we kept kidnapping from each other and hiding all over the theatre department. I remember Ginny as being so fun, kind, hard-working, and dedicated to her craft. More importantly, her faith and commitment to Christ was evident to all. Blessings and prayers for her family!

For a Copywriter who worked closely with Ginny for a while, right now I'm not sure I have the words to explain what we're all feeling here. I'll try:
Ginny Heuer was kind. It's the one word that people keep using to describe this wonderful woman. Kind to her colleagues. Kind to her friends and family. A kind soul who always went that extra step to make you feel happy, welcome, cared for. Her personality lit up the room, any room, any town, in any country. A few of us lucky ones had the honor of spending many business trips with Ginny. She was always quick to laugh, joke around, ask how your significant other was doing, talk about life stuff. She cared so much about each of us. And that's not something you automatically expect from a co-worker.
We'll miss you Ginny, but can rest knowing that you're in the happiest place of all. Yep, lighting up the room.

I knew Ginny as a little girl at Resurrection Lutheran Church and in my girl scout troop. It was so very sad to hear what happened on MPR this morning.

Reading about her in the paper today I can clearly see that He who began a good work in her at our Sunday school class at Resurrection, was faithful to complete it in the beautiful Christian woman that Ginny grew up to be.
