In the distance we can see a horse with a lone rider. The rider is wearing his famous black hat. There is a smile on his face because he can now ride the mountains of heaven forever.
Wade was born in Payson and raised in Spanish Fork. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School and worked as a long-haul truck driver for 25 years. He was employed at Van Rok at the time of his death.
He married Tammy Gleave and they had two children. They were later divorced, but remained good friends. He is survived by his wife, Tauna; son, Jake, of Antimony; daughter, Hailee of Goshen; stepson, Tyrail Butler; parents, Bob and Janice Shepherd, Spanish Fork; brothers, Scott (Darla), Spanish Fork; Bryon, Santaquin; sisters, Diane (Dan) Daley, Santaquin; and Jodi Price, Payson.
We thank his special in-laws, Barbara and Calvin Gleave who loved him all his life. Special thanks to uncle, Dick Strange, who was always there for him.
We love you and will miss you. Enjoy the ride.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, July 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Walker Mortuary Chapel, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork. Family and friends are invited to attend.
Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.walkerfamilymortuary.com

We will miss Wade so much. He was such a funny and caring person. We spent new years eve with him, tawna, and all the kids and I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Wade was always good to my kids, even Kelton who wasn't his nephew, but he always treated him like it. Kelton loved playing with uncle Wade. Jake and Hailee, may you always know that you are welcome in our home anytime. We love you and care about you. Just remember to look up at the mountain and smile cause your dad will be there riding dancer.

Diane
My Heart is so Breaking for you and your family right now. It's been a while since we talked, but every time we do, you up-date me on all the crazy things your family has been up to. I know you loved each and every one of your siblings, and would have done anything you could to help them through all the up's and down's in their lives. Since I lost my Dad, the word "pain" has taken on a whole new meaning. Some days you will wonder if you can make it to the next day, and then some days you wonder if you even want to. Remember that you have the love and support of your friends. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. We'll talk soon. Take Care of Yourself.

Sometimes when meeting someone in passing in our hurried lives, do we stop for a second and wonder if this was the last time we would meet?
Having only met him almost a couple of months ago, Wade made it easy for us to be able to remember each others names by the end of the first day in the pit. A kind man easy to befriend.
Once though, I saw Wade looking a little down and out and when I showed concern he would just say "Whatcha gonna do"? I said to him... Pray!
My prayers are with Wade's family.
May the Good Lord Jesus lift the burden of your loss of Wade from your shoulders and replace it with Peace and Precious Memories of the smiles I know for a fact Wade was highly adept at producing.
I'll miss ya My Friend and thanks for the name of your hat maker.
God Willing, I'll see ya again.

I was only related by marriage. His nephew is my husband. But He was always so sweet and nice to me. He liked to tease me, but I just gave it right back. He is very deeply missed! I am forever greatful that I got the chance to meet him. I loved him like he was my own uncle. My son isn't very close to most of the family, but he loved Wade with all his heart. Wade was so caring about my son. When we found out about Braxton's disability Wade was so sweet. He asked about him ever time he seen us. He wanted to know about everything. He even wanted to come see him when Brax had his surgery. Wade would bring him gifts all the time. And when Wade was around Brax they would play and play. Thank you for being such a great person to my son, because not very many people would ever do that. He loved you and will always love you forever! Your in our hearts wade!! Thank you so much for everything. And I am very sorry to all the family! If there is anything that is needed just call. love always
