Wade Young Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 4, 2016.
Wade was only on this earth for 17 years, but in that time he lived life to the fullest!

Wade came to us on September 12th, 1998 at Desert Samaritan Hospital in Mesa, AZ. Not surprisingly, he was always active, never sat still, and wanted to be the center of the show! As a preschooler, he was
a natural as the charming 'Ringmaster' in a preschool play!

Later at Brisas Elementary, Wade easily made friends and excelled in soccer and anything that required action! Wade was involved in Cub and Boy Scouts through his membership in the Mormon Church, which is where he discovered his love for singing. At Aprende Middle School, Wade was involved in Track & Field, Cross Country, Soccer, and Choir. It's not bad being one of only two boys in a room full of choir girls! In 8th grade he was an assistant coach for the girls JV Soccer team.

High school at Corona Del Sol is where Wade really came into his own. Over his four years at Corona Del Sol he was involved in many activities, both on campus and off. He played Rugby with the Red Mountain Knights, he was on the Tennis, Ping Pong and JV Volleyball teams and sometimes helped out the Varsity team. He loved getting together with friends to go paddleboarding, hiking, running, beach volleyball, tubing the river, long-boarding or weight lifting. If a friend wasn't available, he would likely make a new one!

From day one, Wade became heavily involved in music. He sang in several choirs including A Cappella and Jaztecs, made All Regional Choir twice, and never hesitated to audition for a solo. He took private voice lessons and worked really hard to learn how to sight read. He taught himself to play the piano from videos on YouTube and served on the choir council for four years.

From an early age Wade took pride in working hard to earn his own money. Wade mowed Grandpa's grass and helped clean windows in the family business. He went on to work at RigaTony's Italian Restaurant and Angry Crab Shack. It's hard to say if he loved the money or the friendships more!

Wade served others in many ways, including serving with the Salvation Army Red Kettle Club, and serving on youth mission trips with Arizona Community Church and La Casa De Cristo Lutheran Church. He was also involved in HOSA-Future Health Professionals, and in the Be a
Leader Club.

To call Wade a dedicated student is an understatement! Wade worked hard for every grade he received. He earned a number of college credits while still in high school, was the Corona DECA president, and a DECA state champion and competed at Nationals. Wade graduated with a 4.6 GPA as an AP Scholar Award winner and earned a full ride scholarship to Arizona State University. He was accepted into the Barrett Honors College and was planning on majoring in business with an emphasis in technology and entrepreneurship. Wade received numerous awards, among them being named a Tempe Top Teen by Tempe's mayor.

Wade will be remembered by all for his smile and infectious passion for life, working hard and having fun! Wade loved goofing around, dressing up, dressing down, working out, and making new friends. Wade loved his friends like they were family and his family like they were
friends. Wade loved life, and he lived life very well!

Wade is survived by his parents, Robyn R. Young & Bradley A. Bolt, David A. Young and Krista L. Young; siblings, Cole Reed Young, Karinna Nancy Young, Clara B. Bolt, Christopher J. Brown, Emily N. Brown, Jonathan R. Brown, Natalie R. Brown Evelynn D. Brown, D. Adam Young; grandparents, Karin Cole Wade, Michael H. Cole & Rebecca L. Cole, Reed W. Young, Jr. & Nancy A. Young, Dr. Gerald R. Bolt & Barbara J. Bolt.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Arizona Community Church, 9325 S. Rural Road, Tempe, AZ. 85284.
