JONAS, Walter Conrad
Retired Crothers Caterpillar/Toromont
Passed away peacefully at Peter D. Clark Centre, Ottawa, surrounded by his loving daughters on Friday, December 7th, 2012 in his 82nd year. Son of the late William and Mary Jonas (Melcher). Beloved husband of the late Sheila Jonas (Hamilton). Dear father of Julie Jonas and Constance Bedard (Richard) of Ottawa, and Mary Anne Melanson (Kelly) of Waterloo. Loving Pa to Sherri and Jayson Stang (Kristyn), Marissa, Kendra and Cameron Melanson. Brother of Lillian Hampel, brother-in-law of Beatrice Jonas, Alfred Zoschke. Predeceased by siblings Alfred (Myrtel), Herbie (Helen), Eddie (Jean), Hilda Millar (Clarence), Elsie Zoschke, Billy, and baby Max. Resting at MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, Pembroke. on Monday, December 10th from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel. A celebration of Walter's life will be held in Ottawa at Peter D. Clark Centre on Tuesday, December 11th 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. A special thank you to the staff at PDC for their caring, kindness and support. Memorial donations may be made to the Ottawa Humane Society.
